Whenever I go back home to Seattle, one of the first things I have to do is grab a good book and go sit at the locks and watch/listen to all the boats coming in and out of port. There's something really serene and soothing about it.
Also, if you haven't been yet, I would TOTALLY recommend visiting my favoritest place on the face of this Erf, a little place called Snoqualmie Falls. I have long vowed that if I were to ever get married, it would be there. It is beautiful beyond description.
I could go on and on with suggestions, being that I love Washington with all my heart and soul, but those would be my top two recommendations.
