Thursday, July 1, 2010: Last day of school this quarter. I'm now off for two weeks before I have to go back to school again. Marty is home today; he got laid off from the title company ah-gain; his "contract" ran out. He doesn't mind, though; he's got his car club extravaganza coming up later this month and has tons of things he'd like to get done

The comcast kids sound bogus. Did you see any ID? Were they in uniform? They might be selling "free" services. I might have asked them to wait - on the other side of the closed door - while I call their office to verify who they were.
If they were with Comcast, then you did the right thing....
