Breastfeeding is such a beautiful thing. And breastfeeding twins is extremely admirable! I nursed my little girl for only a short while, but hope to nurse future children until they're ready to wean themselves. That's the ideal plan, anyway. :-)
Thanks for sharing your story and pictures. How wonderful.
I'm not bringing drama into your journal, I have a sincere question regarding your personal journey with breast feeding.
I admire your advocacy and I think it’s very important. I consulted a few lactation consultants because breastfeeding was not an immediate thing for my daughter and I. I had a c-section after 50 hours of labor and I was exhausted. No one told me I had flat nipples. Etc. We really had to work at it and I got different advice from everyone I saw.
The nurses really pushed formula, to the point where I wondered if they were on the formula company’s payroll. I hear it’s easier for them and they don’t want to bother helping new mothers with breastfeeding (which I think makes them lousy nurses).
Do you have any issues with people seeing lactation consultants? I was just curious because you mention you didn't have a need for them.
Hi - you don't know me but I saw you comment on this post. And I saw lilprecious03 comment about your BF story so I had to come read it. I'm expecting twins (my first pregnancy), and would love to be added on your flist especially to read your stories about raising twins. Thanks! :-) (P.S. I'm excited about BF'ing my babies!!!)
Hello, I'm Andrea, and I found this post through adopt a mom, I just wanted to say you have beautiful babies! And that picture is adorable, those blue eyes are piercing :) in a good way, of course. That picture makes me wanna go get my other outta bed and squeeze on her :D
I hope you don't mind. I was having a nosey after seeing you in the latest prego_drama thread, and just wanted to say WOW. What an inspirational and wonderful nursing story.
