Some baking fun..
It was our pre-semester baking day today.
I went to bobbies place and we made mini cheesecake cupcakes along with kim and diana. It was fun, buying ingredients from kroger and cooking it up together. I learn so much from them whenever we bake together, and its also inspires me to try out new creations.
I always wanted to try making cheesecakes but thought that they would be too hard to make but turns out that its not that hard…just have to make the bottom crust with grahamcrackers and butter and then smash up cream cheese and add eggs, sugar, vanilla essence to make the batter, thats pretty much the basics!! We also added little strawberry pieces and glazed it with chocolate on top..it was yummy!! Bobbie also made some creole potato wedges…i definitely wanna try making them, they looked so yummy. But since i had to leave for work, i couldn't really try it out…but she still got me one from the oven to taste before it was cooked all the way!!
Just realized today that this time next week i will have to be back in my dorm room, already kinda dreading it, since habeeba wont be there with me this semester, i just hope everythings turns out well for her and that she will be able to return next year....i am going to miss her so much, eating together at the cafeteria, loading up on the sweets (we both have some veroucious sweeth tooths), working out at the rec center, late night study sessions at the library, slipping little notes underneath the door...now i am going to be all so lonely in my dorm, i can already feel it!!! People move on, things change...but the impressions they leave will always be there!!
Anywayz will have to try my best not to get too emo during the semester, like one of my classmates said we are all like some studying machines getting feeeded with tons of info every single day...just one little down feeling, or a lazy day will cost a fortune in the long run...the key is to KEEP UP every day and thats what i intend to do from day 1, NO EXCUSES!!
