This probably seems so ridiculously pretentious but I wanted to write a little piece on Birdie's characterization for my own reference before I get in too deep into Down the Sky and it's just easier to post it here than on tumblr. Very interesting character meta! I don't feel spoiled by it, though I have to admit I didn't understand all of it, either. I'm all in Hunger Games mode since I finished the series yesterday.

So that's your image of Eleanor. I don't know why I thought she was blond. It never said that, of course. I also pictured her very, very thin. But strong.

Can't wait to read more about her. :-)

I think it's in there a few times she has dark brown/auburn hair? (Although Eleanor does seem like a very... blonde name.) And Sam Barks is very thin. I picked this actress partly because she has played Les Mis' Eponine, most recently in the film adaptation of the musical, so there are plently of screencaps for me to choose from where she's tired, skinny, and fighting someone, lol.
