R-regarding the monster, It seems we will have to take larger safety precautions. It's too loud for comfort.

At any rate, let's move on. It's near enough to the end of the week that I should give the answer to those who did not get my puzzle. The answer is clear, as greenhouses are made of glass. It seems it was too easy for you all. How about ( Read more... )

Um...I don't know what 'scuba gear' is, but it sounds like it relates to water. So....drowning?

Scuba gear is used for staying underwater for long periods of time. You're still wrong, but he was in water before he died.

Ha...! Simple. There was a forest fire and the man was lucky enough to go diving in the same reservoir that the helicopters used to fill their fire buckets.

I defended a guy in a case like this once.

Well, I suppose it's a matter of whether or not you know about this sort of thing. My thoughts aside, well done, Godot.

Ah...poor man. What was the verdict?

It was a case where the man's brother was accused of killing him over a nasty love triangle, drowning him while he was diving and dumping the body in the woods, then setting a fire to hide the evidence. Of course that's idiotic. I posed the very puzzle you did and the evidence matched up, so he was acquitted and they ruled it a freak accident.

Ah, law! Truly the greatest show on earth.

!! How...terrible. I never thought that puzzles would come in handy in such a way.

It seems that anything goes in the courtrooms you work in.

He fell in a lake?

I'm afraid not. Give it another try.

Tough one.

Hints allowed?

Yes, they are. Here's your first hint:

The forest is burned down. There is a standard procedure for going about such a tragedy.

Can we think about what could be done to save him instead?

Ha ha! If you'd like; I'm afraid it's not a terribly positive riddle.

Well we could have kept him in the ocean, where he was originally scuba diving.

What a strange act, even for commoners, to think it's alright to scuba dive in a forest.

He was originally in the ocean. What would have prompted him to be removed?

...unfortunately, no. If I may say, you're so close that it's painful, Ryuuzaki. Think over what you've said one more time and try again.

Correct. My apologies, I didn't know there were variations. What are the others you've heard?
