For the purposes of investigation, I'd like to know two things.

Are there any survivors from the original attack by the monster still alive? Also, is there anyone who has planned or attempted an attack on the monster?

curious layton is curious, monstaaa

Excellent. When the monster first attacked the city, how did you react? Was there any place where you went to hide?

I panicked! And ran away from my very nice hotel, with very few valuables. That, however, is okay! They can be replaced.

And I went into a supermarket. I actually just found an exit yesterday.

I see. This might be difficult to answer, but were you attacked?

So it was by these "crabs", and not the monster? Interesting. Do they attack at random?

The monster was a block or two from the shop when I went in and hid in the back, so I didn't directly get attacked by it, but it was nearby

And they seem to. I think part of what made part of the encounters I had with them random was because whatever entrance they used may have been hidden and only one or two got in every so often.

I see. Apparently, they roam the streets right alongside the monster. Using what information you've just told me, let's say you were walking down the street. Upon seeing the crabs, would you run in the opposite direction, or simply keep walking and not bother them?
