You might start at plotboxes just to see if they've re-uploaded any of the classics lately. I think they periodically try to re-up things when they get a volunteer to supply the web space. If there's an old title you remember liking, you could try googling to see who subbed it originally and follow that trail to a re-upload. Recently I've been seeing JE-based fangroups re-up the dramas starring their individual members, so like the arashigoodies comm has a drama section now for titles with Arashi members. Of course we have a small archive in tokioteatime as well.
Lastly, if there's something you remember and want, I might have it. The only caveat is that most of my dramas are on old DVD-Rs and I haven't checked to see if any have corrupted over the years. I'm sort of in the middle of that giant project. @_@
