And that a lot of people have friended me back... but don't actually read my (few and far between) entires. Or they friended me for reasons other than fic. That's all cool! I'm so with you on the we need more frottage/blowjobs/etc. in fic. Mostly because I think frottage is hot and I find traditional buttsex kind of boring to write. ^_^ I don't know if I'm up to writing anything along those lines right now, but I did write an all foreplay story back in the day because that's the fun stuff. And I like to explore different kinds of sex when I write.

Yeah. Lately most of what I see is "I know this is your/our first gay relationship but lets jump straight from making out to full on anal sex, because everything else doesn't count/is just foreplay that we don't need". Which is great, and all, but to have even otherwise refreshingly original fics follow that formula... *le sigh*

Maybe we're just going through a cycle right now, and we'll be back to foreplay and non-penetrative sex sometime soon.

Now every story I read with sex, this stuff is standing out to me and bothering the hell out of me. XD I'm definitely making a point to switch things up next time I write sex.

I have to say, it probably stems from a very heterosexual point of view, that tab a goes into slot b and one person has to play the "girl" role. For some straight females (certainly not all, of course; I'm not trying to make THAT much of a generalization :P), that's likely their only definition of sex in as far as their own experience goes, so homosexual sex, where we have to get a bit more creative (since my girlfriend doesn't have a dick ^_^) doesn't necessarily even register under their definition of sex.

Frottage, for instance, would be something I'm more aware of for its similarity to tribbing for lesbians, and therefore something I'm more familiar with, can identify with and can understand.

In the end, though, I think most guys, no matter their orientation, just want a blowjob. It's the maximum amount of pleasure for the least amount of work.

That's actually what I thought it was called, but then I started thinking that maybe I had mistaken it for what someone had called that ear sex thing from a kink meme, and figured it was better to say that I wasn't sure than confuse even more people.
