I am going STIR CRAZY, Shell. :-p But yeah, could've been much much worse. Except I had to laugh when they asked if I was sure I hadn't been trying to hurt myself.
Well, it's not as bad as I feared from your Frankenstein comment, but...owie. I'm sending you hugs and Mommy-kisses (which my daughter tells me still work) and heal-quickly vibes.
Oooh! Frankenstitches! (I'm going to be riding that pony 'til it drops, apparently; be warned.)
A wee bit of (semi)professional advice: As soon as the wound is closed, without immediate risk of reopening, start flexing your hand and fingers in all the directions they're meant to go. It will probably hurt. DO IT ANYWAY. You have two weeks of scar tissue development during which it's still nicely flexible. After that it starts getting rigid, and you're at risk of losing longterm mobility. Massaging the area is also good -- again, once it's closed and you're not tugging at an open wound site. /sermon

I'm sorry, Stars.
Maybe in the future you ought to not wrestle with avocados with sharp knives in hand.

I have noted your PT instructions. It's getting pinker, but not like in an infected way. Odd, though.
