Time is marching on in Winterfell, slowly but surely.
Burkett
Leone was getting bored. She felt she'd been too hasty chaining herself to Lou after moving to Winterfell. Lou was a sweet guy, but not exactly full of adventure.
She'd tried to spice things up a bit with Glen Thigpen, but he was just a total asshole. He got into fights almost every time he showed up at the home business. It was really the last straw when he slapped Gwen.
So, Glen was out. Fortunately, the business gave her many opportunities to meet men from all over Winterfell. It wasn't long before she found a likely looking guy.
Corey Futa was a regular, and Leone was attracted by his black eyes. She thought if they became close, she could ask where the eyes came from - after all, Alvin should know about his heritage! During this time, the business had won several awards and the Burketts were flush with money. Leone took Corey to the nicest restaurant in Winterfell.
It had live music, something Leone missed from when she used to live in the city. The band seemed a little rough around the edges, but Leone liked them well enough.
Corey proved to be frustrating. Leone was used to seducing men easily. Corey was quiet and ignored her flirtations. At one point he even coldly rebuffed her when she playfully offered him a bite of her dessert.
By the end of the evening, Leone was almost ready to give up on Corey. There were plenty of other sims to choose from, after all. However, she really wanted to find out about those eyes! She decided on a less aggressive approach, and resolved to wear Corey down with persistence.
In the meantime, Alvin seemed to be thriving. Leone and Van added an extension to the house so he could have his own bedroom after the business started to really pick up.
Van helped him build a lemonade stand, and was his best (and so far, only) customer.
He was still gregarious with the customers at the house, but didn't seem to make friends his own age. Van worried that he seemed a bit lonely.
Koepple
Things were changing fast in the Koepple household. One minute, Marilyn had her hands full with one teen and four children, and the next - the triplets became teenagers! Four teenagers - and one bathroom. It was pretty ugly.
(Not much of a _story_ this time. Let's just see how they all turned out.)
Belva went first.
She immediately turned into a heart-breaker. She rolled Knowledge, and has a LTW of becoming a Criminal Mastermind.
Nevada was up next.
Nevada rolled Popularity, and wants to have 20 simultaneous best friends. She's on her way, with three (Shena Thigpen, Rochell, and Belva).
Finally, Anabel aged up with no cake (the Koepples are desperately poor; two cakes was extravagant enough).
Anabel rolled Pleasure, and wants to be a Professional Party Guest. Each triplet rolled a perfect aspiration, I'm amazed. Also, I installed ACR. I've never used it before.
Yowza!
Thigpen
Things were getting pretty tense. Emanuel and Glen were at each other's throats constantly.
It got to the point where brawls were breaking out in the living room almost daily.
Shena didn't have time to worry about that. The day she'd been waiting for for so long had finally arrived.
She knew exactly what to wish for.
First things first, however. Her look needed a major overhaul. Shena knew her timing couldn't have been better - her mom was working so many hours as a nurse that she barely noticed anything, and her dad was preoccupied with his feud with Emanuel. No one would interfere - at least until it was too late, anyway.
Awesome! The piercings barely hurt a bit. A shopping trip was in order to replace the frilly little skirt she'd transitioned into.
Oh, it was almost perfect. There was just one more thing...
Shena could only stare at herself in awe. It was EXACTLY what she'd always wanted. Step one - image - was complete. Step two was going to take significantly more work. She'd already gotten off to a good start.
Shena was, at last, a punk rocker.
(Shena is Knowledge with a LTW of becoming Chief of Staff. She'll have to fight her mother Lise for that one...hmm.)
Haynes
The Haynes tend to lead a quiet life, and as such I've only got a few pictures. Eli continued to be cute.
Lou realized they weren't making ends meet with his fast food manager job, so he opened up a salon - with predictable results.
He had a strong work ethic though, and with a little practice he soon improved.
Lou hoped Eli would be able to take over the business once he passed on. He worried that the boy would not be fully grown by then, and thought having a trade would help him get by. Eli, though, was still mostly interested in playing with girls.
NOTES:
Glen Thigpen is the biggest jerk I've ever had in my game. He has at least three enemies. He pokes and slaps every new person he meets, which is making him a darn difficult romance sim. Have I mentioned that no one in the entire six person Thigpen house has over three nice points?
I really hope someone gets my little joke about Shena. I made her hair purple myself! I did not realize how easy recoloring hair is.
