Question: Sims 2 relationships hack

Oct 24, 2012 16:15

Is there a hack that allows (all) relationships to progress more naturally and more similar to how real life might go?

Sometimes my Sims fall in love too soon, but then other times repeated interaction doesn't even make them best friends. Then, if they have a high relationship, the decay over time isn't realisitic (i.e., it never happens).

The relationship decay isn't realistic? Your sims' friendship levels will definitely tank if you ignore their friends for a week or two. If they're interacting on a daily or even a somewhat regular basis, of course their friendship levels will remain pretty stable. I tried to find some mods that make relationships deteriorate faster if that's what you're after, but there just aren't any around that I can find. :(

The lovers stuff though, that I know how to fix! You'll want to grab No Instant Love over at MATY, which'll stop sims from magically falling in love with someone they flirted with once. You can also try the Romance Mod in there, which helps prevent insta-love and tweaks jealousy and sexual orientation.

The way that TS2 handles enemies is also pretty broken, so I have some fixes for that too. Cyjon's Fury Initialization Fix stops "furious" tokens from making enemies into BFFs once the anger wears off, and his Fragile BFF mod will clear the BFF status between any two friends who become enemies. Also useful is the Enemies ... )
