Download: ROS files for Supernatural Genetics

Necile sent me a message a while ago when I talked about my sims "rolling" supernatural conditions. I have been using dice to determine whether or not my sims carry on their parents' supernatural "conditions", but she had a FAB idea for turning this concept into a ROS file ( Read more... )

Great use for the ROS files. I love your idea for aliens when dealing with pregnancies. I plan on playing vampires and plantsims in the same way you mentioned as well. When I roll for inheritance of genes I just roll a die and odd number means they become a creature. I've never had two different types of creatures before, but I suppose if I do I'd just roll the same way for each creature present in the parents. So far it has worked well and no creature explosions have occurred in my game. I might be back to snag the light file though, if I find my system isn't working out anymore.

I also am happy using dice, but that is because I came up with my rules slowly, and learned them. If you're suddenly trying to adopt a whole new system (like the traits one, that I'm still struggling with), having something like this is nice. XD

Zombies are sterile, unless you use insim/etc to force a pregnancy. I did that in my Rowan legacy, a zillion years ago, but they don't pass on the zombie skin/zombie walk. Your best bet would be to create someone using the zombie skin in CAS, and then turn them into a game zombie, and steal their sperm, as it were. I don't do it because zombies irritate the heck out of me. XD

If you have specifics, I can either give you the (very simple) instructions or make another file for your needs. ^_^
