I've ended up doing bounce-trips* to Auckland twice in the last two days, to deal with one specific real estate personage. On Monday, I went to view a property which was NOTHING like the pictures, was less than amused, and was going to let things lie. Neha (my roommate) didn't know I'd gone to see that property, called the agent, and the agent told ( Read more... )

Don't panic! Find your towel!

Since she's offered it to you in writing, she probably can't legally offer it to anyone else, especially since you can't physically sign the paper at the first quoted time. She's given it to you, so you're going to get it.

o0o0o I hope it all works out! I would think since she offered it, then legally she has to wait for you - up to about 30 days unless you back out. But then again, being in Australia, the rules may be way different there.

Here in the sticks we call bounce trips bonzi runs lmfao. But I figured that was what it meant cause I'm all smart that way. :p

Ohhhh I didn't know that. I know about the giving notice period for NZ (landlords have to give you 6 weeks if they want you out, but you only have to give them 3 weeks if you're leaving). But we got it, so I don't need to worry. XD

My family calls them bounce trips, because we feel like we're bouncing over the map. I wonder what the rest of the country calls them...

I spent two weeks at my roommate-to-be's current house, hunting while she worked, and GAH, it was almost as miserable as job-hunting. Why can it not be like sims? Where you can say, "that house, I like it", and then place another just like it from the lots bin? >___>
