The party was over.
My brother was gone. I now had a wife, and a new step-father.
It was strange at first. Getting used to everything was a challenge, but we soon settled into a way of life in the newly built house.
Alesha got along really well with the girls, something that couldn't exactly be said about Titus.
He didn't really do anything bad, or flirt with anyone, it just seemed he didn't quite fit in with the rest of us. Alesha was welcomed, he just felt like an interloper.
Mom didn't seem to notice, or at least she pretended not to. The two would go out on town often. It seems he was pressuring her to have another baby, he really wanted to have one with her.
She confessed to me that she was finished, and almost old enough to go through 'that change'. She looked forward to it to get him off her back.
I kind of felt bad for the guy.
When he wasn't working, he was skilling. He needed massive logic ability in his line of work.
With a lot of help from Mom, Titus started just flying through the ranks of his job. It was his goal to be a International Super Spy.
Most of the time I spent my nose buried so to speak, in the laptop. I was always working on a deadline, writing a new book for my editor.
When not being interupted by Mom, Alesha was always busy working on her latest painting. She told me about how a local business man called to comission a work. I was very proud of my wife.
My sister Mulan was also working hard on her writing. She had plans to join the journalism track after she graduated from high school. She was also publishing a few light weight sci-fi books that became rather popular in town.
When Anne wasn't fishing, she was studying either gardening or handiness for when she could join the Science Career track after high school.
Though sometimes, she wasn't as successful as other times.
So we still had to hire repairman sometimes.
When we could find time, Alesha and I kept close by flirting and, well, you know.
We agreed to wait until the girls were grown before trying for babies.
And before we knew it, Mulan became a young woman.
She was just lovely! I was very proud of her. Mulan joined her new career path without even waiting another day.
She then met up with an old high school chum Jonathan.
It didn't take long before she told him how she felt.
Jonathan felt the same way it seems.
The two didn't waste anytime in cementing their new found love.
The two shared vows with only family watching.
At Mom's insistance, they stayed the night. They took advantage of the nice comfy bed.
The two would then move out the next day after Jonathan found a job in the Music Field. It wasn't long before we heard that a baby was on the way. Mom couldn't believe she would be a grandma while still so young.
Since the two of us felt so stir crazy from working hard in the house, Alesha and I took a tour of the base. Luckily we didn't get caught when we took a 'detour' in a closet. I love my wife.
Since Anne was feeling so lonely being the only Landgraab in school, Mom would help her do homework. It helped a little I think.
And before we knew it, it was Anne's turn at the cake.
She also grew up to be very pretty.
After getting a job at the Science Center, she went to the park to collect some seeds. She ran into this guy, and instantly felt drawn to him. His name was Trout or something like that.
She also got to see Aunt Moonbeams new little boy Alfred Landgraab. It seems Moonbeam married her much older boss, and the two had just started a family.
Anne invited Trout over, and he enjoyed a home made meal by Mom.
I guess Anne was in a hurry to start her own life because she moved things very fast with this guy. I was concerned because it seemed he was a bit wrong in the head, much like Grandma Christen.
Since they were next door, I could hear through the walls what they were up to.
It seemed to make Alesha a bit frisky, so I didn't mind.
The next day Anne made it official.
And then we welcomed a new family member into the fold.
The two started working on a family right away. Trout then got a job at the local Bristo, and the two found a house and moved out.
With only Mom, Titus, Alesha and me, the house felt a little empty.
Alesha would soon assure me, it wouldn't be empty for long.
