Cast for Erinsborough Bay

Mar 18, 2009 20:05

I'd normally do a family tree for the sims in my stories, but because this is based on a prosperity challenge, I'd rather do a cast list. I've also included characters that aren't in the main families, but who will be playing an important role in the story. I'm likely to add more characters to the story as it goes along, so please check back here if you've forgotten who's who :)

The Fletchers

Owen was happily married to his wife Hariette for many years, and they had one son, Marcus.

Marcus married his college sweetheart, Shantel, when she fell pregnant with Rebecca.

Not long after Rebecca Transitioned to childhood, her father and grandmother were killed in a car accident. Shantel moved to Pleasantview with Rebecca immediately after the funeral. During his mourning, Owen finally admitted to himself that he was attracted to men. He had loved and adored his wife, but he would never have cheated on her, with a man or a woman. After he transitioned into elderhood, he accepted that he no longer wanted to be with women, and was openly out and proud.

When Rebecca fell pregnant, Shantel gave her an ultimatum - end the pregnancy or get out of her life. Rebecca chose to keep the baby and move in with her grandfather, who was ecstatic to have her back.

The Stewarts

Carly and Ruth were friends in college, which grew into love after graduation. They were among the citizens who demanded equal rights for gay couples, and were one of the first lesbian couples to be married. Not long after their marriage, they were approached by scientists from the Goth Institute labs, to take part in a trial for the Fertility Potion that had been developed with alien technology.

They had one child together, Frank, as a result of the trial. They were staunch lobbyists for the potion to be made available to the public, but that appeal failed. With the legal process tying their hands, they looked to some less than legal ways of getting the potion out there.

The Rebecchis

Charlie had been a successful dancer, and was on the verge of making it big in Sim City, when he had a bad fall. The fall resulted in a severe injury, and the timing of it ruined his career, so he gave up dance altogether. He was offered several positions instructing and as a choreographer, but he couldn't bear to go back to it. During his recovery, he met Adriana and fell head over heels. He started working as a personal trainer, while she stayed home with Stephanie and Dionne.

Once the girls were old enough, Adriana started working at a club Downtown. As the girls grew up, Charlie and Adriana drifted apart, their busy work schedules keeping them apart. The girls were taken care of by hired help, and rarely got to spend time with their parents. During the marriage, Adriana cheated on Charlie several times, mostly at work after hours, though occasionally she brought her lovers home when she knew Charlie wouldn't be there. He caught her several times, but after the last time, he'd had enough and they broke up. Adriana moved into an apartment and continued her party hard lifestyle, leaving Charlie to raise their girls by himself. Now working as a security guard for Goth Labs, he was finding it harder and harder to make ends meet.

The Ramsays

Petra was a successful archaeologist, who had once thought about settling down for marriage and children, though she certainly had her share of flings. Late in her adult years, she was busy on a dig in the deserts of Strangetown when she had a brief romance with a fellow scientist. Just who, she's never said.

That brief relationship resulted in Icarus, who was a great surprise to her. She had no experience with children, let alone babies, and she chose to do it all herself. She took him with her on dig sites and on her lecture tours, so he didn't get to spend much time with other children as he grew up. Those few that he did, such as Jessica, he developed strong bonds. He found it hard to open up to other people in person, but he found an outlet on the internet. Especially after Petra became infected with the Zombie flu, he needed the safe space that chatting online gave him. It also allowed him to realise and acknowledge that he was gay. He was comfortable with this knowledge, but he wasn't ready to come out to his mother, or the rest of society. However, he had met someone special online, Frances, and he hoped that it would turn into something amazing, once he could join Frances at La Fiesta Tech next year.

The Parkers

Sarah and Nicholas had been engaged for years, though she didn't feel a need to rush into marriage.

Even having two children together didn't create any desire to move things along. Her lack of commitment was partially due to his spending habits - she had lots of money, and he wanted to spend it all. She came from a very wealthy family, and enjoyed the luxuries she could afford, but she also knew she couldn't fritter them away. After Matthew transitioned into toddlerhood, Nicholas went on yet another bender with his buddies, and never came home. Several weeks later, Sarah was informed that he had been pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital in Sim City. But as he had no ID on him, and no one came forward to claim his body, scientists from the Goth Institute sought permission to trial a secret new life saving process on him. This process had a 50% success rate, but this was one of the times it failed. It didn't fail completely, as Nicholas was brought back to life, but not completely. His memories were intact, but not his abilities. After several months in rehab, he was able to remember enough of his life details to be able to contact Sarah, who was shocked beyond belief. By now, Jessica had fallen pregnant to her boyfriend Grant, and Sarah just wasn't able to cope with a zombie boyfriend.

Sarah insisted that Jessica and her daughter Carrie stay living with her and Matthew, as she didn't want Jessica to miss out on anything. Nicholas was given a large pension by Goth Institute, and was able to spend plenty of time with his children and grandchild.

The Tates

Anastaszia worked hard as a publicist for Sim Cities most demanding celebrities, and after a drug fuelled orgy at Jack Nicholsim's mansion, she discovered she was pregnant. None of the celebrities that were there would consent to a paternity test, so she never knew who fathered her son, Braydyn.

After he was born, she found herself without a client base, and moved to Erinsborough Bay to get away from the gossip and drama of Sim City. She worked hard for the Goth Institute, and was able to bring Braydyn up in a life of comfort.

The Others

Solstice is the unconventional headmaster of the most prestigious high school in the area, Bayside Private College. He acknowledges the need to conform as well as the need to be an individual. As such, as long as the students wear their uniform, and it's well maintained, they can express themselves through their own choice of hair, make up and jewellery styles. He is very accepting of the paranormal people, and has several on his staff. His personal mantra is "Unity through Diversity", and hopes to encourage his students to be more understanding and accepting than the previous generation.

Belladonna teaches art and maths at Bayside Private College, and was hired by Solstice before she was Turned. He kept her on as staff even after she was a vampire, though she found it hard to teach. Through his contacts at Goth Labs, she was able to participate in a trial to cure vampirism, and was successfully cured thanks to Vamprocillin-D.

Oliver was one of the popular boys at Pleasantview High, and was happy to fool around with Rebecca, just like he was with most of the other girls at school. Once he found out she was pregnant, he dropped her fast, and his friends all followed suit.

Grant is Jessica's long time boyfriend, and has stood by her through the pregnancy, and helps out with Carrie as much as he can. His parents were shocked by the pregnancy, but have grown to love and adore both Jessica and Carrie. He hopes to marry Jessica one day, though she has refused to be tied down so early in life.

Frances is the only son in the prestigious Worthington family, and destined to inherit his father's position. As part of that inheritance, he's expected to settle down, marry a woman, and have children to pass on the Worthington name. He has never been comfortable with that part of the deal, especially once he came to terms with being gay. He had been prepared to go through with it for the sake of the family, but once he met Icarus - first online, and then in person - he's no longer sure he can go through with living a life of deception, even if it means being disinherited.
