Retooling

This screenplay writing process is absolutely crazy. If you want to make something good, it obviously takes a lot of time, thought and effort. Wait a minute.

Are you just now figuring out that Persephone = Persephone, Marco = Hermes (Mercury), Mede = Ganymede, and Phuss = Sisyphus? Pushing a goddamned rock up a hill? I thought that was where you got the names from in the first place! I have a freaking copy of Ovid's Metamorphosis in here! Am I crazy, are you crazy, are we both crazy? Did I actually know something about your screenplay ages ago that I thought far too obvious to point out? I THOUGHT THEY WERE ALWAYS ALLEGORIES OF GREEK (slash Roman) MYTHOLOGY!!! Well, I didn't just arbitrarily name Persephone, Mede and Phuss that. I knew their meaning. Obviously.

But Marco is not quite Hermes in this version so I've retooled him. And Mary was nothing. The message to Aaron is just reiterating.

Our conversation was so incredible. I'm really glad we were able to sit down and talk about the screenplay as long as we did. I can't wait to further poke and prod your genius.
