So, I tried to be nice to ebay guy and explain that there was nothing I could do since it was a USPS issue, but that wasn't good enough so he went ahead and opened up a dispute with PayPal. Over a $15 gameboy game. LOL ( Read more... )

you're totally right about the lack of buyer protection. i used to work in anti-piracy and most of my investigations were for online purchases. this meant i dealt with ebay fucks all the time. buyers would try to get me to save them or help them get money back when they bought pirated software, but ebay really isn't focused on protecting buyers. they definitely have some mechanisms in place for sellers though...

hmm, i would never buy software off ebay - that's just asking for trouble imo.
