Having followed through my friends list, I presume this is autobiographical? It moves me, because I have my own eleven year old daughter, and my ex wife is trying to keep us apart. I can now prove, for instance, that she is deleting my voicemails to my daughter and has been for some time. My problem is, that if I tell my daughter, it will break her heart, because it will make mummy look bad. Well mummy is bad to do that, but saying so won't help.
Mine is an unusual and complex tale, but what I can say is, that when a father isn't around, it can sometimes be because of everyone else but him, and yet to tell your children what is really going on may cause more harm than it does good.
So my best wishes to you, and all other children that miss a parent. I find writing poetry helps me with my feelings, too.
