Still waiting on a work assignment. Thought I would have a garage sale today, but instead decided to paint part of the porch. It took a bit longer than I thought to get set up. Anxiously waiting for the call to travel for my new job. I got a test message emailed to me from the company; a check to see if they can reach me via email. Last Friday, I was outfitted with a 50 pound bag of tools, a company cell phone, and a corporate credit card. Two more days of training at my new job. After that I should find out where they are sending me first. Will be doing a special warranty job for a glass cleaning machine. A long overdue post. Yesterday (Sunday) I finally finished the painting job from hell. Painting exteriors of houses can be tough. But when the house to be painted gets flooded, and rain continues to fall nearly every other day afterwards, the job is really difficult to complete. What an exhausting weekend. Finally relaxing a bit at my dry and sound house. My painting job is on hold for now until the job site dries out some more. I was in the midst of painting the exterior of a friends house last week when the Cuyahoga River crept out of its banks and soaked the first two levels of his house. Made it through the weekend. Was a bit busier than I expected. Friday night I was asked to do my first twelve step call to a friend of mine who decided to wade into the waters of insanity again by pushing needles. Wide awake right now. Just had a weird dream. Dreamt that I was at high school graduation. Seemed like just yesterday. The colors and sounds heard on that day were strikingly clear. Sorting through all the clutter that has accumulated in the past year. So many changes I do not even know how to begin to describe them. Have lost contact with a lot of people. Trying to get caught up and write some notes to them or place some calls to see if they are still alive and well.
