i would do da operation anyways because meg sounds like a selfish brat... although she hasn't received as much attention from her parents as her over-acheiving sister that is no reason for her to allow her to DIE! also, once the surgery is perfomed meg should get serious psychiatric treatment for being cold hearted!!! she sounds like shes a murderer! and wouldn't her parents pay less attention to her after she practically killed her sister?..and they would probably "like her more" for saving her sisters life. speaking of those parents, they should definitley make an effort to love their daughters equally and give them equal attention no matter how big of losers they may be.

There is a problem outside of the surgery here, that of which is Meg appears to be a rejected child to her sister, the case being from the way her parents have choosen to involve her in their family. Because Meg will survive, and can save another life, it is in my beliefs she should consult to do so without thought. Since this is not the case, however, she may need to be forced to take this action without her concent in the case. This is not the only thing that needs to be done, however. The parents need to be taught to treat both children equally and accept and treat both as if they love them equally. Perhaps a delay in the surgery should take place to try and put Meg more into her family and involve her. Of course, with three months, a week delay would have to stand alone. If she still does not give her concent then yes, she should be forced to assist in the life of another. Meg is 14 years old, and may not yet understand the true value of a human life yet, only with a lifetime of experience do some grow to love others, and

no i don't need ideas from both points of view, the point of this wasn't to give me ideas, i already worked on it in class. the point was just to see what other people thought. so yeah.

i'm COMPLETELY torn. i dunno wht i'd do. i suppose iw ouldn't do it. i mean... i dunno. i'd talk to the dieing one. see what she thought. but man... if you DID do it. the one.. meg i think. would most likely commit suicide. and yeah you can say "oh send her to counseling, yadayada" but counseling doesn't fix everything. some things are too scarring. so i dunno. i guess i'd just see what iren says about it. yes she wants to live. but id' have an actual discussion with her. like about her sister and stuff. **sigh** tough call.
