I think giving the Bay Area a decent shake is a good idea. Anyway, Heather was talking about to me the Small Business Development Administration. Every city has one. You should contact them where ever you go to see what kind of information in starting a business in that particular area you should have. She says she's used them for everything from starting a non-profit to the audio catalog business she worked for in Bloomington, IN. She will be sending you links to ones she knows of.
