That's a good one. I would say that my single biggest intent is to have a life of accomplishment. To be a little more specific, I got into design because at its heart it's about creative problem solving (or at least it used to be, but I digress). I have yet to find a sense of satisfaction greater than coming up with and implementing clever and elegant solutions to problems I see, so I plan to make that my life's work. Of course, I've also been convinced that it helps to dream big. For example, some of the things that get me really excited about my CNC business idea are that (if the idea is successul and is copied) it has the potential to decentralize production to a greater degree, encourage "designer-ly" thinking in more people (how can this work better?), create more domestic manufacturing jobs, encourage the free exchange of designs for physical products which will improve the quality of designs in general (open-source hardware), encourage the maker and DIY movements.... you get the idea ( ... )
