But you have given them a great life. Good people, good places, a stable home, good food and finally and most importantly, lots of love.

You have nothing to feel guilty about. You have given both Kim and Schad great and fulfilling lives, and if it's Time, it's Time.

*hugs* Struggling with a lot of the same questions as I just started Delia on an injected medication for anaemia (Procrit), while continuing daily fluids. Thinking about you and Kim and Schad. You *are* doing everything you can, and that includes knowing that you might need to say "no" to treatment because it will hurt more than heal. He can't make the decision, so he needs you to make it for him, and that's nothing to feel guilty about.

I'm a quality of life kind of person, and agree with d3l1r1um. Schad is not going to understand why the frequent visits to the strange vet and being held down under a scary machine that smells like disinfectant.

It's the hardest/worst thing about being a cat's human; to set aside your own wants. But, it's part of doing right by them.
