Theia. Hyacinthus almost stopped in his tracks there and then, awed by this primordial goddess. But as he went before her, he found his voice again, and he bowed low.

"I have come with Apollo, to ask a favour of you, my lady." But somehow, Hyacinthus thought that the Titanide might already know of what had transpired, that her son had taken what was Apollo's. After all, she was waiting there, wasn't she?

"τόξο όχι, πρίγκηπας," Theia responded coolly, with a smile that could only be described as glittering-- Apollo could say nothing, feeling just as he had on Olympus when he first 'saw' Helios, save for the deep, desperate envy. The love and adoration was there, and he too bowed low despite her objections ( ... )

This was it, they'd found her- and Hyperion- and they would be able to help Apollo. Still, something in Hyacinth worried, that this was not the end yet. That Hyperion might not think that their cause was worth helping. That they would still have things to accomplish before they could kick Helios off Olympus and back to- well, wherever he had been before he'd taken Apollo's residence for his own.

As petty as it was, he hoped Apollo's creatures were still upsetting him in all their minor little ways.

The further they drew away from the town, the more thunderous Hyacinth's heartbeat seemed, until he was certain that it could be heard.

They approached the small home in the countryside, a deceptively humble cottage at first glance-- but these were two of the noblest Titans, and their loyalty (if it could be called that, certainly the Titans in Tartarus could call them something much worse) to the new Olympic gods had not gone without reward.

It was, in reality, a sprawling property, with wide, open courtyards and olive trees; water trickling somewhere indicated a fountain. Apollo saw none of this, of course, but he did sense a power, ancient and subtle, like a fire that had once been quite great, but now content to burn low ( ... )
