Star Trek: Short Treks: "Children of Mars"
I just got through a bunch of comments (207 emails to go!) so I figured I could at least take a break for some Trek.
I guess this was to set up the Picard show? It definitely opens up a lot of questions. It's mostly dialogue-free (about half of it is set to a cover of "Heroes," weirdly) and is about two girls at some kind of boarding school whose parents work at Utopia Planitia, and they get into a seemingly random and unprovoked hallway fight but then find out that Mars is being attacked (I think it said by "synths?" Some s-word, anyway) and I guess their parents are dying and there's a brief shot of Picard with a chyron about how Admiral Picard feels or what he's doing or something.
Anyway, I'm sure this will be explained if I watch the actual show. Which I will do. Eventually. After I somehow get through all my emails.
