this mortal feeling

I'm delayed in making this update because I'm trying to participate in NaNoWriMo, which is a lot more daunting a task than you realize before the first week is up. It's up. It's daunting. Still, I post.

By "delayed," I mean that I visited and MET bewitching over a week ago, so here's my update ( Read more... )

I wouldn't trade your visit for having Gavin over for dinner. :/

Haha, the door I've got now is much better anyhow? Well, not really, but I got over the door pretty quickly. It went out in the trash today, as a matter of fact.

So yeah, so many cool memories, and vague regrets - mostly that we were so surrounded by people at all times, all of those personalities warring with each other - that we were distracted from actually getting to TALK, and then when we finally could, I just kinda... passed out.

I think I have sucked in putting forth that I considered your visit an OVERHWELMINGLY positive, happifying experience. I remember every part of it, even the crappy ones, and I consider it all a good, solidly good memory, that I cannot wait to recreate. Definitely without bickering with rabid gavin rossdale fans, that's always fun, but was not the highlight of getting to meet you!

My feelings after the fact are really good too! So there's a bit of the bittersweet thrown in with that, but that's not necessarily bad. :)

also, you recounted this way better than I could have. I am tempted to just link to it from my own journal. but the parts you left out:

- how me and Jess tried to squeeze your tiny ass up onto the balcony to get us into the apartment through the bathroom window

- how that lead singer from Silvertide was trying to eat you up with his eyes

- how you were fighting off drunk, rowdy concert goers to protect me from certain death by suffocation

- how you got LOST LOST LOST.

(I know you mentioned it, but I take a Cappy-like glee at pointing out. First night in Philly and you got lost! heeeee.)
