I really haven't been posting on here as I've been spending most of my time on Facebook and writing notes there, posting to my motorcycle blog, or my blog on my website... but for some reason I couldn't post about this anywhere

Well at least you now have a plan its always so much easier then being in that limbo phase..

and you can get a reversal for mac should something happen and he wants kids or whatever! technology has come a long way but its easy for a man to get fixed then a woman.

Also, have you considered fostering after reading yourpost you might be more suited to have children for short amounts of time rather then adoption of one so long? You can actually get paid to do it as well so if you wanted to stay at home with the child you could do and it could keep you ticking over with the trainning as well (not that im saying do this for themoney but you see what im saying)

Anyway lots of ideas but its nice that after 14 years you have come to a decision easier for the both of you...

As for macs mom, sometimes (i know with my own mother) things are better left just not said and sometimes its easier not to talk to family.
