Summary: In a flash, she was gone, leaving him alone.

"I have no need for her."
He remains silent on the matter, allowing him to blow off steam, swinging at the air as if it has somehow offended him, somehow questioned his honor. There is no use in arguing with a rather persistent boy.
"Perhaps she realized I was going to catch her."
And he nods, because that is what his master expects, what he wants. Who is he to argue with such delusions? It amuses him to no ends the excuses he will come up with, the reasons he uses to explain why the Goddess of Flash has not shown up to pester him, even though they both know the real reason.
"She... she is better off gone!" A particularly harsh swing that whistles and unsettles the loose dirt at his feet.
So Senbonzakura looks away, respects his master's need for privacy. No, he will not cry. No, he will not whine. His master is much too proud for that, but he knows that there's a look of confusion, maybe a look of longing that his master would not want anyone to witness.
Master has not had very many friends and in a flash, perhaps his best one has just disappeared on him.
