Maintaining a narrow two point lead at the end of the voting, Video Killed The Radio Star is our winner for round two. Most of the songs from the voting will be up again in round three, except the ones that got only one or two votes. They're pathetic.
Video Killed The Radio Star - The Buggles[
backup]
I heard you on the wireless back in '52
Lying awake intent at tuning in on you.
If I was young it didn't stop you coming through.
(Oh-uh oh)
They took the credit for your second symphony.
Rewritten by machine and new technology,
and now I understand the problems you can see.
(Oh-uh oh)
I met your children
(Oh-uh oh)
What did you tell them?
Video killed the radio star.
Video killed the radio star.
Pictures came and broke your heart.
(Oh-uh-uh-uh oh)
And now we meet in an abandoned studio.
We hear the playback and it seems so long ago.
And you remember the jingles used to go.
(Oh-uh oh)
You were the first one.
(Oh-uh oh)
You were the last one.
Video killed the radio star.
Video killed the radio star.
In my mind and in my car,
we can't rewind we've gone to far
(Oh-uh-uh-uh oh)
(Oh-uh-uh-uh oh)
[instrumental break]
Video killed the radio star.

In my mind and in my car,
we can't rewind we've gone to far.
Pictures came and broke your heart,
put the blame on VTR.

Please
mail your vocals to me on or before Monday, July 21st. That's enough time for you to put it off, maybe buy a $10 Radio Shack desktop microphone (because I know you're DYING to participate), to record multiple takes.
Just reminding you of a couple rules and guidelines:
- Record yourself a capella, by listening through headphones as you record. I can only mix you in if your track is a capella.
- Try to record yourself loudly, but not to the point of distortion or mic popping. Last go-round some tracks were really quiet and I had to bring everyone else's volume down to accommodate.
