Hm. Floating candles on a lake/body is water is a Sikh custom.

I wasn't saying it wasn't the only culture to think that up, I was just reminded of Diwali when you put the candles on the water and whatnot...

what is the festival with all the colors and general happiness? i think it's in the spring... i really want to attend it somehow. I wonder if they have any in the US?
