So far this summer I have worked, been sick, worked some more, and then been sick enough to have to quit my job. The past few months have been fairly uneventful so I don't have too much to report. I agree! I had a couple fandoms before GG but this is the one I feel the most...rooted in, I guess. And the thing that bothers me most is that it failed to deliver on all the amazing fronts it could have delivered on. I keep waiting around for a fandom to replace it. :P

I completely agree about TVD! I've been watching it since s2 and I just sort of ignore Elena in general; I mostly watch for Caroline, the Originals, and occasionally Tyler and Jeremy. I'm must less involved in that fandom as well (basically I just want Klaus to stick around because I enjoy his accent). I also watch Downton and Mad Men - I'm still not caught up on Mad Men but I totally agree, in general, about the sheer difference in quality.

Still, there were aspects of the GG fandom that could be fun, and I think that's what we're all grappling with. It's more (for me, at least) a sadness for what could have been instead of what really was.

This has been my problem with GG for the longest time. I think the show missed out on so many opportunities and the fandom just became, for the large part, incredibly annoying - and I mean the majority of it, not just any particular fan base. As I've started to watch Teen Wolf (lol, I know, Teen Wolf), I've been kind of blown away because this campy little MTV show about werewolves is a better ( ... )
