Most of my loyal reader's have heard all about the "riots" that took place over Mardi Gras here in San Luis Obispo. Everyone seems to have an opinion but facts about how it started and the events of the night have been shady at best. You yourself wrote, that you were invited to the parties and opted not to go. Wise. I was invite to six of the same parties, but I was sick that weekend. Providence. My point, neithe of us are Poly students. We, and plenty more like us had opportunities to go out, and a great many actually did go out. Also me being a recent move from SM to the area, still has a lot of ties to the area. I know plenty of people from SM, AG, who were at the riot, none of them Poly students.
One of the notions I perceive time and time again from SLO residents is that they like the college being there, but don't like the students. Always passing jibes at the polly dollies from the locals. And anotner is the attitude that SLO is better than everyone in the area. But it is the college and it's patrons that pump money through San Luis.
