The move is going a little slower then planned, but I know more about painting and general house repairs now. Not such a bad thing, cleaning up and painting can be a good bonding experience for new housemates right? And how often do you get to pick your bedroom general decor out and have the landlord pay for it? Not a shabby deal ( Read more... )

Not only is it a computer, but it will have a cd burner =)

I need to reformat the drives and install a fresh operating system (including updates and such). I also need to pick up a wireless ethernet card for it since that is what the house will be using.

I think that my one wallpapered wall is going to be more of a pain than yours. I can't paint over how it is now, which means that I am going to have to scrape the whole thing (that wall is 19'3" long). D'oh! I'll be over there tomorrow after work, though.

A CD Burner? Aaaaahhhh! I have fallen out of my chair and can't get up. I hope you can hear my maniac happy giggles. I'll be over at the house tonight finishing painting, after I finish I can help you. Stop by Warren's(sp?) Paint Store after work and ask Bob if there is an easier way to get the glue off.... RRabbit used to work for him and said he will answer questions for free and really knows what he is talking about.

Ah, but it's not just glue. There is a layer of some weird backing stuff from the wall paper, a layer of something else, and a layer of paint. I believe that to do a proper job, I'm going to have to scrape it all off then repaint. I'm going to pick up a large scraper today, and that should help things a bit.

We have to finish Jason'r room, paint the kitchen, paint my room, retile the kitchen, repaint the bathroom...then we have to pull up the carpet, redo the subflooring and put down hrad wood floors...our brain will be saturated with home repairs!!!

LOL! No wonder BOTH sides of my head hurt.... how are you feeling today? When I woke up my right side of my throat was swollen and sore and my sinus was REALLY stuffed up. I cursed your name, took meds and went to work. Please feel better soon. ;-p
