Oh. My. Gods. This is so funny!

Lee Junior being a typical buttface brother, and Hera babysitting, and it all just fits together perfectly. And Laura seeing Kara as a trophy date! Hilarious! I bet Kara engineered the hit that ended with Laura almost on the floor. She's crafty like that.

And then Hera asks if they were frakking from the minute they met. It all works together to create the perfect storm of funny.

Kara opened her eyes and fixed the younger woman with an incredulous stare.

“Hera, I bet someone at school taught you the term “unreliable narrator,” right?”

Hahahahahahahahahahaha!

I'll take credit for The Healing Arts, and now I'll have to do something with that in my Healing Arts verse, but I don't remember the prompt at all, so I'm pretty sure it didn't come from me. :D

Ergh, so I stole the title of the program from you -- that must have just been back there hanging out in my brain -- and the particular plot point from someone else. I know I've read a fic where Laura created the arts program that helped Kara regain the use of her fingers. It became such a part of my headcanon and now I wish I could be as organized as you are, to have recorded that somewhere. (Aside: ADHD, why do you not work for me in the ways I need you?) I'll correct the A/N to reflect that Healing Arts was from your stories.

Hehehe, I can totally see Kara engineering the crash. I deleted a short bit of her helping Billy get shitfaced because it didn't fit in with the story. Of course, this is a weird Halloween one off but I sorta want to write the Laura. Billy day after SO bad. "Erm, sorry, I palmed your boobs, Madame Secretary" would be such amazing mentor/mentee awkward.

Glad it worked for you -- thanks so much for the kind words!

What a great premise. It's a wonderful and appropriately Laura way to help Kara learn to use her fingers again. I don't think I've read the other one.

Now, of course, I have the smutty Laura-teaching-Kara-to-use-her-fingers-again thought stuck in my head. lol

Go write the Laura/Kara body paint prompt from Epics, will ya?! Laura's a very good teacher...

This is just gorgeous, and fun, and sweet...a little melancholy when I think of this as a long-ago story, but mostly delighted that there obviously has been a rich, happy life for everyone, and settlements on Earth seem to be coming along splendidly! The little kids...just perfect :-)

OMG, that dress! I can't even. Very fiery butterfly, which totally works :-) Poor Billy! I would love to see a followup there!

Healing Arts...I love this so much, that Laura would have been involved and that Kara would have made that connection. And all the sparring :-) Delightful read!

*giggling like a loon* I’ve been meaning to read The Healing Arts series as soon as possible, but I LOVE this. I always like outside-in perspective fics (also Laura in THAT GOWN is *worshipful eyes* and imagining her sister’s voices *cries all the tears*), and I like the idea of these stories being passed on - one generation to the next. There’s so much sharpness alongside sweetness here, and I like that her moment with Bill reflects a lot of the dynamics of their canon meeting on the battlestar.

Also, Kara is so perfectly Kara. :D That said, what I wouldn’t do to be a fly on the wall for the story SHE’S about to tell. LOL

Thank you for sharing this amazing story - by turn emotionally sad, funny, captivating, cute, and wonderful! ♥
