I'm obese. The doctor said so and put me onto a fitness program called Fitbug. It's good! I'm certainly walking a lot more, they gave me a snazzy pedometer which is pretty good and have started giving me weekly targets to meet. How did they measure BMI?? I only ask because if you use the simple height/weight ratio then Martin counts as obese, but we got hold of some special scales that actually work out water/fat/muscle/bone content and he only just makes it into the slightly overweight category. It might be worth getting it checked out properly if you haven't had this done already?

They used the usual standard BMI test that the NHS uses. It is useless but the powers that be seem to think that if they make things too complicated we may actually find that things aren't as bad as they are stating and have funding reduced. Of course I may be being overly cynical.

I have to admit that I am a BFG (Big Fat Git) and need to lose the weight. I'm actually enjoying the walking - it gets me out of the house and allows my head to clear a little from the maniacs (aka Connor and Jorja) bless 'em.
