                       How does your character know Maria, How long? Have they hung out much?

If you want to work out previous CR with Maria because you're an American Chosen/Were in America between the New York Incident and now poke here!

For those of you who are supposed to know here, here's some things you can reference:

Given that Sam lives relatively close by (Providence, RI), and that he spent time in New York when Hikari was there, I would say that Sam should have at least spent some of his time in the area hanging out with Maria.

And I welcome any suggested specifics, if you gots any.

Works for me, Maybe when they were hanging with Hikari they talked a bit :3

To get a little more specific, I'm trying to make a point that, while Sam is somewhat acquainted with each child from the NY events, Lou is the only one that he has a close relationship with. So I would say that Sam has been around everyone else only a few times (read: not enough to be very comfortable with them, as Sam is...a nervous person).

I don't want Maria and Wallace to be too close, I think it's odd if ALL the Americans are like...BFF. So friendly acquaintances, the age difference was probably the cause of them not becoming very close.

Makes sense. She was only nine during the new york thing, plus shes a girl.
It would also make sense why she was unsure of her welcome on the trip <3

Because Lou visited Sam, Hikari, and other Chosens on more than one occasion, I'm sure Lou and Maria must have had to interact once or twice after New York.

I'd suggest that Lou and Maria at least mildly dislike each other, as their personalities could easily clash (depending on how you look at it). However, if you'd prefer something different (as you already won't be incredibly close to Sam or Wallace), I'm open to suggestions.

I'm sure they must have, and If you believe their characters would clash, then they most likely would. :3 You've been playing him for a fair bit longer then I've been playing her.

How would they clash, so maybe we can work that into any interactions? :3

Maria seems to be religious while Lou is much more philosophical. They try to avoid the subject around each other to prevent conflict, but they're both aware of their differing values.

Also, Lou, while capable of making a joke from time to time around friends, is generally a fairly serious person. He would be slightly annoyed by the type of person that would often break into song.

However, he does, at least, have respect for how often she reads, as he is a fellow reader.

Makes sense. Maria's the quietest in her family, so if her brother was ever with her when he met her, that might be another point against her.

She wouldn't stop talking to him though. Other than her instructors and the other chosen, she doesn't have many people who want to talk to her outside of her family, so even arguing over something is good.

I can see many of their conversations revolving around the save haven of books, then. unless of course they end up in a battle of genres
