Most confusing alphabet book ever.

Last night as I was drifting off I started thinking about words with silent first letters. Random, yeah, but that's the kind of thing I think about in a state of extreme sleepiness. Then I started wondering what the most confusing possible alphabet book would be--whether I could get silent letters or weird starting sounds for all 26 letters ( Read more... )

Not bad. Merriam Webster says that's pronounced \ig-ˈzakt\. I think I usually hear it more as \ek-'zakt\, but whatever, it clearly beats out a blank slot.

I'll take it for now (I also just added Xhosa, after all). Yeah, I'd prefer not to have proper nouns in there, but in the absence of alternatives...
