The Eugene O’Neill Theatre. It was one of Jesse’s more favorite theatres on Broadway, having been host to some of his favorite shows. Of course, it was vacant now, it’s last show having closed a few months back ( Read more... )

Rachel was wary about meeting Jesse at the theatre, having their last meeting ended up with her laying in her bed debating on whether or not to break her veganism and gorge on one of Quinn's beloved pints of Ben & Jerry's. Instead, she did what she did best, pull on her robe and veg on the couch, watching Spanish novellas and arguing with the TV over why Consuella would choose Fransisco over Leon.

She approached the theatre with her hands shoved in the pockets of another hoodie. Spotting Jesse's figure she had the fleeting thought to turn around and pretend she forgot about it or didn't get it until later. She shook the thoughts out of her head, realizing she was thinking more like an infatuated teenager than the young woman she was attempting to be. Nevertheless, it was too late for her to turn back seeing as Jesse had turned at seeing her.

"As tempting as it was, I needed to do something else other than watch Quinn continue in her shame spiral." Rachel replied with a shrug. "So why the O'Neill?" she asked, finally looking at him.

As he watched Rachel as she approached, Jesse couldn't help but wonder fleetingly when she had started wearing hoodies; in high school, she had been entirely about pleated skirts and sweaters with animals on them. Had she started wearing hoodies after the began their whole affair, or did she just decide they were more comfortable in New York than a knitted reindeer?

"Quinn in a shame spiral? What happened?" Then again, he knew that although she didn't show it, it didn't take much to crack through the former cheerleader's icy-shell.

He curled an arm around her shoulder gently, steering her around so they could both look up at the theatre. "I would think it would be obvious." But because he knew some of his, er, riddles weren't the easiest things to follow, even for her, Jesse added quietly, "Spring Awakening."

"She got drunk, slept with Puck and now feels entirely too guilty about her new life." she said offhandedly. "She's handling it better than I expected." She figured sharing too much about Quinn's latest guilt would get her locked out of the apartment.

Rachel looked up at the theatre and nodded. "Of course." she smiled gently before looking back at him. "Are we going to go in or just stand out here? Come on." Rachel grabbed his arm and pulled him around the back to find a way to get in. "This isn't my first time sneaking into a theatre." she added, stopping at the stage door.

Jesse hastily turned his laugh into a cough; because of his acting skills, Rachel probably wouldn't tell the difference. "So, what's Puckerman doing with himself nowadays?" He asked in a tone that suggested he wasn't actually interested.

He let Rachel lead the way, masking his disgruntlement. She was basically ruining half of the surprise now... Then, he chuckled at her last confession. "I have to say, I'm not surprised. What show was it for?"

Jesse stepped forward, producing a key from his pocket, which successfully opened the stage door. He stepped inside casually, without fear of getting caught, and motioned for her to follow. He led her out to the stage, which was decorated completely with the old Spring Awakening set. "I have connections everything." He informed her somewhat with a sly wink.
