Just a thought...

When I originally read this I sided with Dan Savage as I usually do (his opinions are close to mine.). But after much thought about this story, I actually changed my mind...
And this is why:
1. "...victim called dozens of pharmacies in town..." -- Why are the other pharmacies not in the wrong for not carrying the product at all??
2. Rape or not, Target has the right to refuse service to anyone like millions of other businesses in North America.
3. "...right to discriminate (...) religious beliefs..." - Isn't that a right that should be protected too?
4. Emergency Contraception is not a right is it??
5. What if the pharmacist had just told the woman that they didn't have any? I bet next time he will...
I was refered to you by DutchofSpades, was told you'd be someone I should talk to about gender identity. I feel very confused about not wanting to be girl gender identified but I still want to be girly and I'm trying to find a balance that allows me to act the way I feel inside. I want to be a fishnet/corset wearing, dick packing, chest binding, makeup applying queer and was told you could relate?
Um . . . maybe. I have struggled with that stuff for a while. I'll add you and you read what I've posted related to that, which isn't much. We could have more dicusssion.

And "straight rights" is a phrase that usually means something ignorant is coming, but in this case, I agree with Dan Savage!
