I was babysitting next door when Heather called me about making plans for tonight. She also told me that Mr. Raysor died last night of a heart attack. I felt bad for the poor 5 year old watching me cry hysterically while talking on the phone and reassuring him that "I'm fine, really Charlie, everything is okay." holy crap! omg! i cant believe hes really gone, he made such a difference in all our lives, he wont ever be forgotten. i wish i could have spent more time w/ him...when he made such a big deal about how i should get money when my house flooded, he like started the idea for that fund raiser thingy...and how u could talk to him whenever u had a problem, he truly was a great man that we learned a lot from. and er...u dont need to be a teacher to make an impact on peoples lives...i mean it certainly helps, but u can make an impact on peoples lives by simply being their friend...uv changed my life by just being that...altho i think ull make a great teacher as well hehe love u hope everything is ok...

r.i.p. mr. raysor. i will always remember having been one of his last students, and the inside joke that he and I had about mr. spock from star trek (my synagogue choir shared the stage with leonard nimoy himself during a performance exactly 2 years ago today, and mr. raysor wanted me to get mr. nimoy's autograph, but of course that didn't happen...but then the day after the concert, in front of my entire 8th grade history class, mr. raysor asks me, "so, Dana, how was Spock?" and every time I saw him after I left Murray Avenue, I gave him the "Live Long and Prosper" sign...he even drew it in my 8th grade yearbook!

so that's my little eulogy. i would like to attend his funeral, but my parents are not sure I can get there.

:( i'm sorry about mr. raysor, erica. it does sound like he far surpassed the role of a typical teacher. i offer as much sympathy as i can, even though i never knew him.

pepsi is a really cute name.

take it easy, my friend. love, laura
