Don't worry, I only have 4 courses as well. And I agree that it's probably because we have more work. Liberal arts colleges give absurd amounts of work for their courses.
i wouldnt know about the whole 4 courses thing but i know that i only have 1 class that doesnt give outside homework and its freshman seminar. all my other classes give homework, projects and papers and most have 2 hour labs and recitations at other times in the week. hope that helped...
i've thought the same thing about other people. with me, how it works is orgo is 4credits, genetics is 4, criminology 3, and art history 3, and that would've been it for me but i decided to do a tutoring thing which boosted me up another 4 credits. it's technically 5 classes b/c the seminar for the tutoring really is a class but it's not really that much work and i pretty much am just taking 4 classes. i best be getting to my orgo work/studying but i wanted to share. ttyl :)
yeah it's not like you're school is slacking off with only having 4 courses on average, that's how most schools are, right? but i don't know that you have any more work than i do here at west chester. you know i have 12+ courses a semester, and yeah, and handful of them are ensembles and petty classes. but i've got the big headache courses too, with papers, labs, projects, observations, the whole deal. i feel like you're saying i don't have as much work, i don't agree!!
but i suppose it's impossible for any of us to know what school is like for anyone else.
I don't think she's saying you don't have as much work, I think she's saying it's distributed differently. Basically, you have more classes, each of which has a little less work than our courses, but the sum total is about the same amount of work. Yah?
yeah i understand. but i don't agree because, my having so many courses isn't a west chester thing, it's a music major thing. monica has 4 or 5 classes, and i don't think you guys have any more work than she does. ya feel me?? lol
