Um.... I didn't really. I mean, I encouraged them to use the bathroom and all, but I didn't really do alot. Jacob was 3, autumn did it by the time she was 2.
Just alot of praise when they actually DO it, and then encourage them to do it when they don't. Also, it's like, the #1 priority, so if they even MENTION it, then jump on that, take them to the potty, etc...
Don's real good about when he's taken in there every 30-40 mins and reminded to go. But as far as him telling me he has to go, or stopping what he's doing to take the time to go? Not so much.
He understands 'the functions' now, which is good, and he's always really proud of himself when he 'goes potty like a big boy'. I give him lots of praise when he does it, and try not to get frustrated when he has an accident.
Thinking maybe some sort of insentive is in order. I'm DETERMINED to have him trained by the time we all fly to Michigan for x-mas.
