It was amazing how the best of intentions could go so utterly awry. Less amazing when you considered that this was Vash the Stampede we are talking about, who is synonymous with things going awry... amongst other things.

But Christmas was a season for spreading joy, and it was hardly his fault that Vash had been assigned Secret Santa duties by the Director. After all, he took the job enthusiastically and was all set to deliver the presents at lunchtime

State of the Union:

Chrno isn't entirely sure what to do with himself right now, and he's been like that since Rosette left camp. He also has the added joy of Joshua attacking him at times, which is totally not what he needs. It's making him a bit... DISINCLINED to go out and talk to people. I don't know what he does all day, maybe he sits on rooftops pining for the fjords. But he's being quietly despondent. It's hard to catch him at this because he likes the ":D I'M FINE HOW ARE YOU?" style of conversation and making him talk about himself is like pulling teeth. He would really like to get out of camp and go back to Rosette, even if it means Joshua gets left behind for a while. He knows THAT would cause hell, but he kind of doesn't care.

Aw, poor Chrno! It's really difficult when characters get to a point like that.
