Fair warning though, I suck at remembering to turn it on.
Timezone/Language: Australian EST, which is GMT+10. No I will not work out what that is in American time, do it yourself 8(. I speak English.
The Playing Experience: So this is how I see myself playing! If I'm posting, I actively try to make the post itself amusing. If I'm threading, I just play it ICly, and if humour stems from that it is my good fortune. I feel much more competent at playing serious/straight threads, though that doesn't mean I CAN'T or WON'T play humour. I love reacting to funny stuff! I just can't make it myself all that often, especially with some characters. I am game for just about anything play-wise, be it crack, drama or emo. I LOVE MAIMING MY CHARACTERS so violence is also A-OK with me, but again it depends on the character and the reason a lot of the time. I like to think I reign in my desire to be an emo-bugger but if I'm going over the top, do tell me. It's the only way I'll learn.
Scheduling Issues: Right now I'm on break, but in a couple of weeks I'll be going back for my last semester of university. I also have a casual job, and live in Australia. So basically! If you want me to co-run a post, or be around for certain thing for a certain amount of time, I would really appreciate a heads-up on when you'd like to do something. This is just so I can tell whether I'll be there or not. My timezone can be hilariously bad for some, but I will TRY TO MAKE IT WORK FOR YOU.
Jumping: GO FOR IT, being jumped makes me happy. I try to do it myself sometimes but often don't feel confident enough or have enough of an attention span to try. I don't do many threads at once so if you see me out, it's likely that's the only thread I'm playing so jump away. I don't mind being piled on (it's almost a certainty when I play Rick ololol), in fact it makes me feel sparkly and popular.
Threading: 90% of my play is going to be threads these days; I don't post very often anymore. And admittedly, a lot of my threads don't get very far because I'm slow or I have to run off to work at inopportune moments. This is my failing, not yours! I am quite happy to continue a thread if you want, but you really do have to LET ME KNOW. I don't get comment notifications! I MAY NOT SEE YOU REPLY, THIS IS A HAZARD. So if it looks like I've ignored your comment it's very much not the case... I just haven't SEEN it. I also tend to like continuing threads that look like they're going somewhere. SOmetimes, I really can't think of a way to propel the conversation further and I might decline to continue. But hey, that just means we should start a new one.
Goals: Try to get some character balance and play all of mine more. Get over that thing where I just... sit here... and not comment. FORGE RELATIONSHIPS I've become appalling at that. Post some more.
Betaing: I generally only beta for canons that I know, so if I drop a comment to you in a beta post, I'll do it. Also, if you ask me, then I'll give it a shot too. If you send betas to me too close to the app date, as in within a few hours, then I won't be able to help you because I'll be ASLEEP. Apps open at 8am here, is why. So send it a couple days early if you want me to get back to you, uh, ever. I tend to be a grammar and flow beta, looking more at the structure of sentences and the app than the voice.
AUs: Ehhh not really. I've given them a shot in the past, haven't really worked out for me. I'll do non-sex AUs easily enough, but I can't write sex for the life of me. SORRY LADIES.
Comfort Levels: I haven't really run into a situation so far that's made me want to stop playing. I sometimes get wibbly about confrontational characters because... I suck, but I should grow a spine so whatever. If a thread becomes uncomfortable for me, I'd probably tell you. Also, if something I'M doing doesn't work for you, please let me know and I'll stop.
Concrit: I comment to cfud_concrit most weeks, and I have concrit posts up on daeindaeout and legally_blond's journals. You can use those for any character of mine. If you want to crit me via email or PM or whatever that is fine too, though I'd prefer it to be on the crit posts or comm really. Anon crit is okay, as is crit from non-CFUD people! I am here to be IC, so a smack telling me I'm doing it wrong is always appreciated.
