Thanks for detailing your journey. I actually find it fascinating. I've decided against LASIK myself, at least for the next few years. I know many people who have the halo-effect after the surgery. Myself, I wear day/night contacts which I can leave in forever, so it's very convenient. Perhaps I'll decide later to do something permanent...

I think visiting Norway would be completely amazing, and it is really great that your surgery would be paid for by your doctor. Wow.

Having to pay for another procedure myself would probably be a deal breaker (not that I paid for the first one). Very glad I chose a doctor who takes responsibility for care after the check has been cashed.
