Geez, that does seem like a difficult decision! However, after weighing some of the more major factors (lots of people in a complex vs. only one other apartment, number of bedrooms, and distance from work), it sounds to me like the second option would be preferable, especially if you don't already have a pet and not having one isn't a big deal to you.

The problem is I already gave $120 towards the $555 one, plus the $600 dollar one is close to Duke's which might be a concern.

In that case, then perhaps the $555 would be the better choice - it's not too far from work, since you'll be working in Camp Hill.
