"Why?"
Doojoon watched as Hyunseung slammed another cupboard shut, the bowl that he just put away making a clanging sound as it hit other dishes. Hyunseung threw some more dishes into the sink and began washing them.
Doojoon winced at the sound of glasses banging against each other. "Seung."
"What?"
"You might," Doojoon cleared his throat, "you might want to be careful."
Hyunseung looked over his shoulder for a moment, dark eyes glaring at his leader, before returning his attention back to the dishes.
Doojoon watched for a few more minutes, wincing each time a dish was banged. "Seung." He took a few steps closer to Hyunseung. "Seung, I think that plate is clean."
Hyunseung threw the plate into the other side of the sink, the dish and the bowl it hit both breaking. "What the hell do you want Doojoon?" He grabbed a glass and began cleaning it. "And why the hell are you talking to me like I'm going to break or something?"
Doojoon swallowed. "I just wanted to make sure that you were okay." He took a few more steps towards the dancer.
Hyunseung threw the glass in with the other dishes, it too breaking. "I'm fine." He grabbed another glass. "Everything is fucking perfect."
Doojoon heard the pain in Hyunseung's voice that time. "Seung, please just..."
"Stop it!" Hyunseung's grip on the glass tightened. "I said I'm fine. I'm not some charity case. I don't need your sympathy or your pity or whatever the hell it is your trying to do."
"Seung."
"I don't need it Doojoon!" Hyunseung kept his back to Doojoon. "I don't need any of it! I'm fine!" His grip tightened more as he began to vigorously clean the glass.
Doojoon's chest tightened at the amount of pain that was laced with Hyunseung's words. "Hyunseung."
"I don't need people to feel sorry for me! I don't need sad stares or whispers of concern! I don't need any of those!" His grip on the glass became death-like, his knuckles turning white. "I don't need the constant reminders or...or the fucking memories or him or---" Hyunseung stopped as he felt the glass break in his hand. He swallowed and pulled his hand away, blood trailing down his fingers and into the soapy water.
"Shit." Doojoon pulled the towel off of Hyunseung's shoulder and began to gently wrap it around the younger's hand. "I told you to be careful."
Hyunseung kept his gaze focused on his hand. "Fuck you." His voice was quiet, sad.
Doojoon fastened the towel around Hyunseung's hand so it would stay in place. "I'm sorry Seung." He placed his fingers underneath Hyunseung's chin, forcing the latter to look at him. He felt a part of him break as he looked into eyes full of pain and sadness. "I'm so sorry Seung."
Hyunseung couldn't hold it in anymore. He let out a sob. "Why?"
Doojoon shook his head as he pulled Hyunseung into his arms, the latter's arms dangling at his sides while he sobbed against Doojoon's shoulder.
Doojoon kissed Hyunseung's temple. "I don't know Seung." He held Hyunseung tighter, his tears wetting dark hair. "I don't know."
