Female Kyuzo prompts
What kind of fics can you write for female Kyuzo? I want to write, but inspiration is lacking, so I'm just going to throw a bunch of female Kyuzo prompts out there. Maybe they will inspire someone else, or maybe they will inspire me.
My take on the role of women in Samurai 7.
I did not see a single female warrior (besides a 2 second shot of some archers) or a girl who didn't need to be protected. Kirara was brave, but she still got rescued a lot. Female Kyuzo would have been awesome and would have thrown the whole 'weak female' view out the window. But a female samurai seems like an exception to the norm in that culture. That really explains the cross-dressing, because no matter how strong you are, there's always the idiot who will try to protect you, whether he realizes he's doing it or not.
Okay, on to the drabbles.
-How did she become a samurai? How did Kyuzo go from a girl walking the 'female path' to a samurai?
-Her sensei. Whoever taught Kyuzo was probably considered rather strange. (A twin-blade master handing down his technique to a girl?) Since the technique is rare, I see him as having one pupil (her) and training her alone in the mountains or something.
-Her training. Since he probably got her at a young age, her sensei was probably taught her everything she knows. I just imagine him trying to explain the menstrual cycle to a freaked out young Kyuzo.
I doubt these ideas offer much, but I just need to ramble. ^_^
