Ooooh actual triangle? I shall ponder that. I think of Shichiroji as absurdly generous and would let his Kanbei-kun have whatever would make him happy, even f-Kyuu. But yes, more developments as I ponder more.

After watching S7 with my son and hubby last year and then again more recently with a friend and his kids, I've been so sad that the fandom's so dead. I have a thang for Kanbei/Kyuuzou and never thought of the f-Kyuu thing til I saw some of jun_i's stuff, and now I'm just happy to have even a small group who love S7 and Kyuuzou too! XD

Poor Shichiroji--I feel a bit sorry for him. But then again, my perceptions of him from the anime always were that there's very little that slips past him, so perhaps he sees much more than Kanbei thinks. (In the f-Kyuu world especially, I'm willing to bet that Shichiroji would recognize Kyuuzou for who she really is a mile away.)

Gread point. Given his presentation in the anime, I tend to think of Shichiroji as more follower than leader, and entirely behind Kanbei regardless of the scenario (in love and in war, so to speak). And yes, very attentive. I don't think of him as jealous or any more possessive than life (or Kanbei) allows. All this is just based on personal response and preferences and where he returns to Kanbei's side in the anime and where the narrative ends. I could certainly understand alternate readings in which he is more possessive. That said, I would find it hard to credit a reading of him as oblivious to his surroundings, including Kyuuzou (whom I've always read as male and not a hidden female, until the f-Kyuu underground (jun-i) tempted me to try on f-Kyuu for size!
